You can almost smell the salty air in these incredible images of Svenja and Steffan's wedding in Crete. You'd also be forgiven for thinking, at first glance, that it was a styled shoot. But nope. It's a real wedding, with a real couple, sharing all the real feels. If you're into boho vibes and are partial to a pampas grass or two, then you're going to love this.

Despite all challenges the world faced in 2020, Svenja and Steffen traveled to Crete to celebrate their next step in life with their loved ones for a small and simple wedding.
A BOHO BEACH WEDDING CEREMONY
The ceremony took place in Rethymno beach and the beauty of the landscape matched the vintage bohemian vibe the couple wished and cherished. It's the perfect setting if you're considering a wedding in Crete.
Beach wedding flowers
Warm tones were used for all flower arrangements, including the decorations and the bridal bouquet, to match the colors of the sand and embrace the desired mysterious atmosphere. Late afternoon was chosen as the best time and everything was touched by the golden hour’s magical colors.
Wedding signs
Wooden signs were sited on the beach to guide guests and a welcome table was placed on the side where guests could enjoy some refreshments before the ceremony, followed by sparkling wine for the celebration toast.
Traditional Cretan items were used as decorations which reflected equally the boho and vintage elements requested by the couple
The wedding inspired solely by this free-spirited couple and their authentic approach to love was beautifully captured in the photos.
Oh how we love a bride in sunglasses. Don't they look so happy? We love all the traditional Cretan items they used and the dry grasses as decor. And we could really go for a refreshing bottle, sorry glass, of ice-cold bubbles. Anyone now dreaming of a wedding in Crete?
