Inspiration

That dress! Those sleeves! The Prada shoes! We just can't get enough of ultra-chic bride Laura, to be honest. A small window of opportunity last year meant that Laura and Oli's micro wedding at Castello Di Vicarello in Tuscany could go ahead. They'd originally planned for under 30 guests so luckily none of their plans were altered. Laura and Oli opted for a classic Italian band to play music throughout the day to keep things traditional, then had a friend DJ for the afterparty! We've got plenty of small wedding music inspiration for those trying to decide on their own vibe.

Castello Di Vicarello is a beautiful location for a remote, rustic and intimate micro wedding.

Honestly, I felt like every part of the day was so special. I've never seen Oli so happy, so I think that has to be No.1 for me. Another special moment was coming down the aisle with my dad. I linked arms with him and he asked if he could hold my other hand and I know I must have been squeezing it so hard as I was so nervous. We laughed the whole way down the aisle. I laughed for the majority of the wedding day, actually.

CASTELLO DI VICARELLO

Finding our dream venue was the hard part - and planning a wedding in a very remote location without a planner to help wasn't easy. We were so lucky with our florist Rebel Rebel. We emailed them for advice as they're based in Hackney near to where we live, and they happened to have a flower farm in Tuscany.

VIBE

The venue Castello Di Vicarello spoke for itself, so we didn't need to 'dress' it as such. It's in a very remote part of Tuscany, about 2 hours from Florence so you can imagine that it's very rugged and green. We kept our flowers wild and seasonal which was in-keeping with the rest of the location. Overall it was rustic and understated but oozed elegance in all the right ways.

EMMA BEAUMONT DRESS

Finding my wedding dress was always going to be a task. As a stylist I knew it was going to be one of the most important parts of the wedding for me. I tried on countless dresses in countless stores to try and figure out exactly what I wanted and what suited me. I narrowed down a few key elements like certain lace and tulle, and then I met with Emma Beaumont who brought my vision to life. The process of designing a dress from scratch is second to none, I wouldn't change a thing. She is a total genius.

Laura & Oli finally found the location of their dreams in Castello Di Vicarello.

We were so lucky to have our wedding go ahead that we didn't care if something didn't go to plan. It was so stormy in the lead up to the wedding and the heavens opened during dinner, so we ran inside to finish the dessert. We ended up having the most epic party in there afterwards!

Laura & Oli

Well, Castello Di Vicarello has certainly made our list of top dream wedding locations! Tuscany is such a beautiful part of the world, and we have plenty more inspiration where that came from. Check out this rustic olive grove wedding! And for fans of a statement sleeve like Laura's, we also love this bohemian celebration.
