Inspiration

An outdoor wedding ceremony at The Grange, Hampshire always gets an instant ‘Yes!’ from us. This wedding venue in the South of the UK became the gorgeous backdrop to Charlotte & Matthew’s wedding in August 2023. For styling, the couple had stunning pink wedding flowers and signage for a bright pop of colour and plenty of sparkles with a bold metallic wedding theme. The metallic mismatched bridesmaid dresses and Charlotte's sparkly wedding dress are so beautiful! This day was wonderfully captured (as always) by Recommended Supplier, Kirsty Mackenzie Photography. The couple also chose Recommended Supplier, Prezola, for their gift list.

The people made our day so special. From the guests to our amazing suppliers, every single person brought something to the wedding and made it so special for us by helping to bring our vision alive.

Charlotte & Matt

Metallic Bridesmaid Dresses

Sparkle, sparkle and a bit more sparkle. All we could think of when we saw Charlotte’s wedding dress was the song ‘Bejeweled’ by Taylor Swift. We’re total suckers for some sparkly wedding inspiration. Charlotte & Matt’s wedding at The Grange, Hampshire, had a bold metallic theme from those mismatched metallic bridesmaid dresses to a giant metallic gold bar, to the glowing DJ booth, to the sparkly wedding dress! Charlotte’s cousin designed all the incredible funky and bright festival-style menus, signage and table plan, which featured all the couple’s favourite things. We are just obsessed with those pops of pink that really help set the joyful tone of the day. The ultimate goal for Charlotte & Matt was wanting the day to be FUN and for guests to have the best time possible.

Favourite Moments

The outdoor ceremony was stunning and is one of the main reasons Charlotte & Matt chose the venue. During the ceremony, Matt's sister Emma, did a reading called 'Yes I'll Marry You' by Pam Ayres. The Grange, Hampshire is such a gorgeous venue and has incredible accommodation on the grounds, which means that you can have your family and friends stay with you for an exciting night before and a hungover day after! The couple’s favourite moment of the day was their first dance. Charlotte had been planning it in her head all year (maybe longer) and the couple worked with the DJ to create the perfect first dance song that meant something to them both. Having all their family and friends join them on the dance floor during the dance was a unforgettable.

Everyone is just sparkling with joy at this beautiful wedding in Hampshire

We have a few bits of advice:

1. Try to enjoy and take it all in. What they say is right, it goes by like a flash.

2. Put your own stamp to the day by adding little touches of personality throughout to make it feel personalised to you.

3. Have a buffer for budget.

4. Communication with your venue/planner is key so you don't have things to worry about on the day.

Charlotte & Matthew

Charlotte & Matt’s wedding ceremony at The Grange, Hampshire will be on our minds for some time because of how beautiful it is. The key to that? Flower columns! The gloriously structural flower arrangements are the perfect altar decoration for any outdoor ceremony and are the modern alternative to traditional flower arches. Those metallic bridesmaid dresses are bold and the risk totally paid off. Have you considered a metallic wedding dress? You should! Dazzle in sequins or silver and gold fabrics!
