Bringing together their Chinese and British culture, Lorinda & Michael chose China Tang at the Dorchester to cater for their beautiful day, alongside a Gift List from Recommended Supplier, Prezola. After saying their I-do’s at The Old Marylebone Town Hall, they hopped on a bus to China Town. Picking up some delicious vegetarian Bao Buns (little pillows of happiness!) Whilst friends enjoyed drinks at The Dorchester bar, the bride & groom headed to their suite with their families for an intimate Chinese Tea Ceremony. Lorinda changed into an exquisite traditional red wedding dress, which came all the way from Singapore! Oh, and we suggest eating before scrolling - get ready for your mouths to water! We wanted a wedding day that reflects our personalities, our culture, and how we are on a day-to-day basis.
CHINA TANG AT THE DORCHESTER
Lorinda & Michael’s suppliers were chosen to cater to a Chinese-themed wedding and banquet. Once they decided upon China Tang as their Chinese banquet venue, they wanted a registry office as nearby as possible! The Old Marylebone Town Hall was the perfect option, and going to their open day sealed the deal. They also enlisted the help of their friends & family whilst decorating their suite for the Chinese Tea Ceremony, this allowed them to save a little money on a wedding decorator!
ADVICE
Lorinda & Michael suggest having ample time in order to prepare. And if you are feeling overwhelmed, take some time out! Even when you have most things prepared, it can still feel stressful, particularly in the weeks running up to the Big Day! They also suggest trying to let go of the notion that your wedding day has to be perfect, as no one except you will remember the smaller details - so don't sweat the small stuff! Have fun!
