Inspiration

We met at a wedding! We are from the same town and have lots of mutual friends although we hadn’t ever really met properly before. In the summer of 2017, we were both invited to the same two weddings of two couples who we both knew. At the first wedding we were the only two single people and we were somewhat thrust together by our friends. We danced and chatted but things went no further, despite the encouragement of our excited friends. At the second wedding a month later we picked up where we had left off and we haven’t been apart ever since.

We were so nervous about our engagement shoot because neither of us are very big fans of the camera. We wish more than anything that we hadn’t been so worried. We had the most amazing afternoon with Steph and wish we could do it again. Durdle Door is just the most beautiful spot. Steph had made sure we were there at exactly the right time of day for all the best light, and it felt like a dream at times to be in such a beautiful location as the sun was setting. Steph was so professional and friendly, she put us completely at ease.

Luke proposed when we were doing one of our favourite things, having coffee in bed in the morning. It was two days after Christmas and we were at Sarah’s mums. Luke came in with the tray of coffee and told Sarah he had another Christmas present for her. It was a complete surprise, and it was so special for Sarah and her mum to be able to celebrate together straight away.
