Inspiration

Between the Grade, II listed Fitzrovia Chapel and the bride's Rara Avis wedding dress we don't know what to look at first! Stepped in history it made the perfect location for Olga and Xavier's intimate ceremony before they took to the streets with, Rock My Wedding, Recommended supplier, Miss Gen for couples portraits and then home for afternoon tea with their family. Having a small wedding and focusing on a few key elements, meant their micro wedding was still mighty.

Intimate wedding at Fitzrovia Chapel with a Rara Avis wedding dress and afternoon tea at home.

We've met through Tinder and had our first date at the Barbican in November 2017. We can both say it was love at first sight - after the first date, we've been seeing each other almost daily and moved in together 2 weeks later. There's no clear definition of how long we've been engaged as it was a mutual decision to get married - I don't really remember when we made it, must have been around July 2018.

FITZROVIA CHAPEL WEDDING

We planned a small wedding for our family and closest friends in the beautiful Fitzrovia Chapel with a relaxed afternoon tea reception at home. We wanted to make sure the day will be easy and enjoyable for everyone including ourselves. Photography was extremely important. Then was the dress, venue and flowers.

VIBE

Relaxed, arty, slightly boho. I originally wanted something completely different. I always thought my ideal wedding would be outdoors, in a beautiful natural setting. We first thought about Italy or the South of France, but travelling and arranging for everyone to travel there seemed too complicated - we wanted it all to be simple and not stressful at all. Xavier found Fitzrovia Chapel and took me there without too many expectations. The moment we stepped in together it felt just right. It was so beautiful with all the mosaics, and the perfect size for our wedding, so we booked it straight away.

Olga and Xavier tailored their Fitzrovia Chapel ceremony with personalised vows and music making it completely unique to them.

Keep it as small and as easy as possible. I have a lot of married friends that were so stressed organising that they barely remember their own wedding day. Make sure YOU enjoy it above all, not only the 200 people that were invited. If I had another wedding I'd literally do it all the same. Might try a location like Italy or South of France for a change :)
