Inspiration

Although Morgan and James' South Kensington wedding was small it was still everything they wanted. They said their I do's at their church: Holy Trinity Brompton Church before heading off for a cosy pub reception. They got to speak to all their guests that were there several times and live-streamed the nuptials for those that couldn't make it. All of the happiness and wedding day moments were captured by Alba Turnball Photography, including the impromptu human tunnel exit.

We only had 3 family members who could come to our wedding, which is never how we expected it to be. But it was still the most beautiful day and we felt so loved by everyone around us.

What Made Your Day Unique

Our day wasn't what we'd expected, but it ended up being incredible! Having our ceremony in our church in South Kensington and reception in a pub was the perfect way to celebrate our London love story. The church live-streamed our wedding for friends and family in the US, Australia, and New Zealand, so even though we had a small wedding with 13 guests, we still felt like everyone was by our side. Because our wedding was so small, intimate, and relaxed, we were able to have quality time with all of our guests which made it really sweet!

Holy Trinity Brompton Church

Saying their vows at their church, Holy Trinity Brompton Church was one of Morgan & James' favourite moments. They also loved was how cosy and fun their pub reception was. As it was so small they were able to talk to every guest multiple times throughout the night. And, as all of their guests knew each other it felt like a big hangout. There were lots of impromptu speeches and so many fun moments captured with the disposable cameras they put on the tables.

Inspiration & Styling

The vibe was casual and intimate, with a mix of city and boho inspiration. Even though we were married in a traditional church, I knew I wanted a simple slip dress, flowers in my hair, and a wildflower bouquet. We used simple stationery and gave succulents as favours. For photos, it was important for us to capture our love in South Kensington because we spent so much time there. However, we are planning to have a big vow renewal celebration next year in California, so we definitely focused more on each other, family, and friends than planning every detail perfectly.

We forgot the confetti for the church exit so our guests made a spirit fingers tunnel and it was just as special.
