Inspiration

Incorporating a fusion of details honouring both their heritages, Evi & Sanjay’s wedding included a Greek wedding blessing, buttonholes featuring Nepalese and Scottish flowers, and a ‘big fat Greek lunch’ the following day! The vibe and styling was refined boho, with a classy and relaxed feel. Their meadow wedding flowers were a huge part of their day, and they look so beautiful alongside the backdrop of Northbrook Park. It’s giving us that Spring entering into Summer look we just love! Evi looks beautiful in her Anna Campbell wedding dress and Freya shoe from Recommended Supplier, Bella Belle shoes!

Greek wedding blessing with meadow flowers

We turned our wedding into a 3-day celebration! The afternoon and evening before our wedding, we invited everyone to a pub/hotel local to our venue. We had drinks and dinner and this was a great opportunity for people to meet one another.

GREEK WEDDING BLESSING

The Greek wedding blessing, or Stolisma, happens just before the ceremony, and was a favourite moment for Eva! Both the bride and groom are blessed and prepared, dressed for church by the family, best man “Koumbaro” and maid of honour “Koumera”. We love the incorporation of traditions that are personal to you and your heritage during your day.

STYLING

The venue was bright and airy, so Eve & Sanjay were able to make use of the garden area in which they had lawn games! Their colour scheme was mainly white and green, with pops of pink. Choosing suppliers who were relatively local to their wedding venue was important to them both, meaning they may have worked at the venue previously!

Don’t you love the green sequin bridesmaid dresses? Very on trend!

Get organised in whatever way that suits you - for us, it was shared Google sheets. We tracked every single last penny that we spent in a spreadsheet, along with guest lists, order of the day, checklists, table plan drafts etc.

Evi & Sanjay’s Greek wedding blessing was a beautiful way to honour their heritage! We also love their emphasis on florals throughout their day. Could a weekend wedding be on your radar also?
