We were one of many couples who had to delay our plans (twice!) due to Covid. And it sometimes felt like it would never happen. One of our most precious memories will always be walking through the confetti as we walked out of the Church as a married couple. All the stress and anticipation of planning during a pandemic just fell away and was replaced with pure happiness and excitement.
GREEN SATIN BRIDESMAID DRESSES
So we all know satin gowns are having a moment. (Like, a big one...). But these assorted green satin bridesmaid dresses from Rewritten Bridesmaids made sure the moment was well and truly theirs. Ranging from forest greens to teal tones, they look phenomenal together and matched the silky softness of Lora's Halfpenny London wedding dress. The white, green and soft orange bouquets really tied the whole look together and made these girls look the real bridal team. THE DAY
Lora & Dave's wedding planner Natalie Hewitt organised the day down to a T. We can only say that she did a stellar job! She was the brains behind the sperry tent looking pure magic, and the champion of the post-dinner pre-dancing cocktail hour. Something we'll be noting down straight away... They also chose Recommended gift list The Wedding Shop for their day, taking away any stress for their guests and adding to the smooth running of the day. From the rustic vibes in the sperry tent to the green bridesmaid dresses, there was no detail overlooked. Consider us blown away (and wishing we'd been there...).
Having a planner or someone to take charge on the day is a great way of making sure everything runs smoothly.
Focus on how you want everyone to feel during the day. We knew we wanted the day to feel relaxed, be a constant celebration and a reflection of us as a couple. We worked with our planner, Natalie, to bring our vision to life and always came back to this feeling as a guide. Natalie helped us build the most incredible team of suppliers, who we got to know so they felt like an extension of family on the big day. And finally, invest in your photographer! Rebecca captured our day beautifully and we'll treasure the photos and memories forever.
