Inspiration
We’re not entirely sure it gets more beautiful than this, (and we’re not just talking about Caitie in her Halfpenny London dress). With a backdrop of the Tuscan countryside, our bride & groom said their I-do’s surrounded by family from around the world! Hiring their venue for the whole week, they were able to spend as much time as possible with their wedding party, and turned one day into a holiday (we approve!) The vibe of their day was laid back, relaxed, classic and simple. Complete with natural colours, whimsical lighting above their tables, and a stunning golden hour post-wedding photo shoot, Caitie & Jonny ensured each aspect of their day was a true reflection of who they are as a couple. A little birdie also told us the cake was delicious, and was gone in about 30 seconds… we’re pretty sad we missed out.
What Made Our Day Unique
We have a very international family, from New Zealand, Ireland and South Africa. We knew that Italy was a long way for everyone to travel, so we hired the venue for the whole week and turned it into a holiday. It meant that on our wedding day everyone knew each other and it was just a huge party!
Halfpenny London Wedding Dress
Caitie was a little apprehensive about finding her perfect dress, but luckily, a friend of hers works at Halfpenny London (you can find them on our recommended suppliers list), and set up an appointment for Caitie on her birthday! Welcomed with a glass of champagne and birthday cake (delish), she tried on just one dress before finding her perfect match. You also know it’s the one when someone randomly knocks on the window to tell you how amazing you look…
Inspiration & Styling
Neither of us are very flashy people; and the setting was so beautiful, most of the hard work was done for us! We both love nature and the outdoors, so we used very natural colours but made sure we had plenty of beautiful lighting for the evening.
We understand finding ‘the one’ can be incredibly daunting; what should be a fun day can turn to frustration incredibly quickly! However, try not to panic, there is genuinely something out there for everyone - and it doesn’t have to be traditional! It’s about finding something that you feel completely comfortable in.
