I have always loved Jo Malone London and there is absolutely no denying their products are totally gorgeous. Personally, I have always worn their perfumes for special occasions because it feels like a treat and an elevation of my “usual” perfume, but I never really gave much thought as to how important a scent could be in reminding me of those special times. As soon as we walked into the Jo Malone London store on Regent Street to try out their wedding consultation experience, we were not only engulfed in beautiful smells but also met by the friendliest of advisors with a glass of bubbly (an essential to any wedding planning activity, in my opinion!).

Emma and the team really took the time to understand us as individuals, what we like or what we aren’t as keen on. We quickly established that I was into spicier scents, with notes of oud and black pepper being some of my favourites! Whilst trying out some of the recommended scents during a very relaxing hand and arm massage, Emma was talking about how the scents came about as well as why scent is so important on your wedding day! Here at Rock My Wedding our ethos has always, and will always be, Your Day Your Way, and listening to Emma really did instil that scent can play a huge part in expressing your personal style as well as helping to bring back those treasured memories after the celebrations! It really was a lovely experience, something that I would recommend to all couples planning their special day! Being engaged and actively wedding planning, there is so much to think about! And yes, you would think working within the industry would make it easier, but to be completely honest, it doesn't! However, visiting the Regent Street Jo Malone London store and going to their wedding scent experience was amazing. Relaxing with a glass of champagne, talking about my destination wedding to Barcelona (fingers crossed) and what scents could work well together in the heat (again, fingers crossed) to give off that tropical summer vibe.

The Jo Malone London team took the time to understand what I had in mind for the big day and talked me through the importance and fascinating science behind the layering of my wedding scent. From the shower gel I should use, to the moisturiser and cologne to spray on top. The scent I created with the help of the experts is just divine and I can't wait to wear it. It really is all these final touches that make your wedding day so special. My scent combination is unique to me and encapsulates the vibe of my wedding completely, I chose the Grapefruit Cologne and Nectarine & Honey Blossom Body Crème. I am so looking forward to going back to Jo Malone London with my fiancé to choose his wedding scent. We're making it a date!

Whenever it comes to choosing a gift for any of my friends and relatives, Jo Malone London is my go-to choice. As I'm in the age range where everyone around me is proposing and becoming engaged, I've had to start thinking about wedding gifts as well as hen-do ideas and gifts, too! Upon arrival at the Jo Malone London wedding scent experience, we had a glass of fizz as we sat down to discuss our fave scents. I'm a big fan of vanilla notes and floral vibes, so the lovely Emma and the team bought out all those scents. After choosing my top two faves, the pampering really began! Your arms and hands are washed, moisturised and massaged with one scent, and then sprayed with your other chosen scent. I was in heaven! 

My scent blend was Mimosa & Cardamom Body Crème for the moisturiser with Peony & Blush Suede Cologne (a popular bridal choice) as the perfume. I immediately fell in love with the combination and went over to the gifting experience. Firstly, you get to choose a special coloured lid, which you can engrave along with the bottle (if you so desire). You can also add a small charm! For the gift box, you can add personalised embossed letters or symbols in silver foil and choose a ribbon to wrap it all up. So, not only was my scent unique to me but it was wrapped up especially to my taste as well. It was such a luxurious treat and has made for such a beautiful keepsake! The Jo Malone London wedding scent experience is perfect for couples, hen-dos, stag-dos, or some one-on-one time with your parents or in-laws! Adding your wedding date to the perfume bottle, and your new initials (if you're changing your name), is such a nice personal touch.
