Inspiration

You NEED to see a close-up of this gorgeous laser cut lace wedding dress! The detail on it is just incredible and really takes those boho vibes to the maximum! For Claire & Jon, it was important that the day felt easy and fun for them and their guests. It was at its core a party, with a band from Recommended supplier, Tailored Entertainment! The couple tried to ensure it was full of good food, drink and socialising. Especially as this was the first time their families had met! They both said it was magical to see their two worlds finally under one roof at Recommended venue, Silchester Farm. On hand to capture all those magical moments was Recommended supplier, Mark Horton Photos.

Laser cut lace wedding dress with long sleeves for a boho wedding

We had a 2 year engagement which allowed us to spend time finding wonderful suppliers that fit our style.
We used Rock My Wedding and Instagram to look at options and examples of suppliers' work and style.

Claire & Jon

Laser cut lace wedding dress

Claire looked like a bohemian dream in her laser cut lace wedding dress with gorgeous long sleeves and a stylish hat. The detail on that gown is just insane! The bridesmaids wore green dresses and the groomsmen were in green suits too! The whole colour palette of the wedding day really added to the boho autumnal vibes the couple wanted. Also, Claire is South African, so incorporating King Proteas (the national flower of South Africa) into the florals was a small touch to add to the day. The bridesmaids carried one each and then they were reused on the tables as decor.

Cosy autumnal wedding day

Claire & Jon wanted the vibe to be colourful, autumnal and easygoing. They picked some key statement elements like the floral diamond altar decoration and then added smaller details to build around that. The couple decided on an informal dinner set up so they kept things simple and minimal with greenery as runners and candles. They loved finishing the day roasting marshmallows on the fires and dancing to the band with all their loved ones. Silchester Farm was also the perfect venue choice with plenty of cosy festoon lights for all those relaxed autumn vibes.

Cosy festoon lighting, dried flowers, a warm colour palette...could this wedding be any more autumnal?

We booked suppliers well in advance, sometimes too far in advance, but we found it allowed us to book things in, get the suppliers we wanted and stress less. Also, make sure you sign contracts and confirm dates 6 months out from the wedding as we had multiple suppliers drop out and needed to find replacements.
