Inspiration

From the wild and elegant grounds of Recommended venue Dewsall Court to the long floral bridesmaid dresses, this summer wedding was an utterly magical affair. It was a two day celebration that saw guests come from all over the world, and oh boy do Alex and Marc know how to throw a wedding worth travelling for... They got married amongst the trees with surprise readings and a beautiful ring passing ceremony in the dappled sunlight. Could this be any more romantic!? As if that wasn't enough, Alex's stunning vintage lace wedding gown and the incredible hanging dried flower installation at the wedding dinner were the stuff of our wildest wedding fantasies! But we promise this is real. Although you may be dreaming of it for nights to come...

Woodland wedding at Dewsall Court with long floral bridesmaid dresses and vintage lace wedding dress.

We fell in love with our venue because there were so many beautiful and wild areas on the grounds where we could have different parts of the day. Our guests really got to experience the whole property! Our love of nature, local sourcing and seasonality also played a huge part in our choices. The venue, our wedding planner and our florist did the most amazing job making it come true!

PLANNING

Alex and Marc did a lot of research online and on Instagram to find their suppliers. As many of their guests were travelling from abroad, they made it a two day celebration (something we wholly approve of!). Kicking off the festivities was a welcome picnic BBQ in the glorious sunshine. Rugs, blankets and cushions were scattered across the stunning gardens. Cocktails and conversation were in full flow, allowing all the guests to get to know each other before the big day. Seeing them all come together and have fun was one of Alex and Marc's real highlights, making it a truly unforgettable affair!

STYLE

Wildly elegant. That's how we would describe pretty much everything at this wedding! Nature really was the star of the show. From the long floral bridesmaid dresses to the dried flower cocktail garnishes, the summer vibes were everywhere. The stationery was all on handmade paper, and the dried flowers dreamt up by wedding planner Louise and brought to life by florist Jennie were simply show-stopping. Complimented by candles, greenery and rustic details, the barn wedding dinner was bursting with warmth and happiness.

Alex and Marc didn't know what any of their readings were going to be before the ceremony. This made it a wonderful surprise for the happy couple, and added a personal touch to the day!

A favourite moment? So hard to choose but we would have to say the wedding dinner! All our friends and family laughing and enjoying each other's company and the amazing food made us so happy to see. We had been most excited about the decorations for this part of the day. We were blown away by how gorgeous it looked.

Alex & Marc

Well, we'll say it first... the dried flowers, long floral bridesmaid dresses and stunning details of this wedding are all the summer inspiration we've been dreaming of! For more dried floral installations at Dewsall Court, look no further than this incredible shoot. Or perhaps the gorgeous florals and bridal jumpsuit at this intimate ceremony. Not to lay it on too thick, but their passionfruit martinis are really worth a quick look...
