What Made Our Day Unique
We knew that we wanted to get married abroad so that we could make a weekend of it and bring the holiday vibes. Lots of our friends live abroad so we felt unbelievably lucky to have everyone back together for a weekend of fun in Southern Spain. The venue we chose, Finca el Torreo, is a stunning, palm-filled tropical oasis in the small town of Elche. This gorgeous setting really helped to set the tone for the day. Music also played a big part in creating the right atmosphere. Max loves his music so had spent months making the most epic playlists - one for arrival, another for cocktails and another for dinner. We were also both surprisingly relaxed on the day thanks to a very fun local tapas dinner the night before with all of our guests. And we made the most of having all our favourite people together in one place with a pool party the day after the wedding too.Robyn & Max
The bride chose a beautiful lace detail Made With Love bridal gown to match the stylish and boho-esque vibe of the day. Paired with gold platform heels and a bouquet made up of pampas grass and faded blush and coral colour tone flowers - a running colour theme throughout the sun-soaked day! The bridesmaids looked just as pretty in sequin dresses adding a little sparkle to the proceedings!
Inspiration & Styling
Like lots of brides I initially went a bit mad creating lots of Pinterest boards but in the end the inspiration for the styling came from one key image - a rustic tablescape by Spell in Byron Bay. The palette was washed out, sun-drenched coral and blush, but nothing too girlie. The picture has a slight seventies vibe and speaks to laid back, lazy, sun-filled meals with friends which is what we were after. It was really important to us that the day felt super relaxed and the guests were there to have a good time first and foremost. We used the wedding invite to set the party tone and then pared it back for the day so that it felt slightly more elevated. Paloma Cruz took us to a warehouse filled with different tableware which was dreamy for me, less so for Max! But it meant we could play around with chairs, linen, glassware and crockery to find what we were happy with.Robyn & Max
