Inspiration

Is anyone else feeling the need to reach for an iced drink? Caroline & James’ day is bold and bright, inspired by their trips to the Caribbean. Caroline wore a Margaux Tardits wedding dress, the perfect lace gown for an autumnal wedding! The couple had rum cocktails, tacos, funky wedding reception outfits, a gospel choir at the ceremony, a tropical colour scheme, AND a bridesman! Whew, we’re impressed! All of this was planned by Recommended supplier, Salt and Scent Events! What a day this is at Recommended venue, Elmore Court. On hand to provide the streamers for this day was Recommended supplier, Streamadelica!

We used some suppliers recommended by the venue and from Rock My Wedding, we researched lots ourselves online by trawling Instagram and our wedding planner brought a load of amazing suppliers to us.

Margaux Tardits

Caroline & James' main piece of advice is not to rush decisions! Caroline actually picked a different wedding dress from her stunning Margaux Tardits lace wedding dress and changed her mind by the time she got home! It's good to thoroughly research and speak to suppliers. The couple also recommends dedicating most of your wedding budget to those 'wow factor' moments and trying to save on stuff further down on your priority list. For some couples a big 'wow factor' moment could be the wedding dress, wedding cake or the DJ, it all depends on what matters most to you.

Autumn Wedding

The idea of an English autumnal wedding was everything to Caroline & James, but they didn’t want it to be cliche with the traditional red and burnt orange colour scheme. Instead, the couple decided to go for hot pops of bright oranges, deep reds, lilacs, neon pinks and coral. Caroline & James spend a lot of time in the Caribbean so it felt like a nod to their tropical travels whilst still being distinctly autumnal. During their ceremony, the couple had Corinthians 1 Chapter 13 and Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton for their wedding readings.

The lace detailing on the Margaux Tardits wedding dress is gorgeous!

We absolutely loved our gospel choir! They brought the house down in the church. One of our most memorable moments was when we stayed in church, just the two of us, to hear them sing the end of All You Need Is Love by The Beatles!

The details of this day are just so inspiring! From the Margaux Tardits wedding dress with delicate lace sleeves to the carefully considered colour scheme. One of our favourite highlights of this day has to be those flowers! So take a look at our wedding flower arrangements article to see more beautiful blooms. Another is the bridesman! We love seeing couples do their day, their way and mixed-gender wedding parties are an inclusive way to celebrate with all your friends!
