A truly unusual wedding venue. Youngest Guise (Anselm: Glade festival) transformed his 750 year old family home into this sustainable party pad in 2013. We're now rewilding & our treehouses are open!

What time can the music and bar stay open until?

We allow music and the bar to continue until Midnight in the Gillyflower, and any guests staying overnight in the house are invited back to the Drawing Room for an exclusive 'after party' where a bar will be available into the early hours...

Do you have in-house chefs?

Yes, and they are AMAZING! Super-skilled and flexible they will help to create your menu of dreams. We also try as much as possible to supply fresh produce from our walled gardens, and soon wild meat from our wildlands as well as foraging and purchasing from local suppliers, so you are always guaranteed the freshest, most sustainable and highest quality of food.

Is there a noise limit?

We have a brilliant Ibiza-quality Funktion-One sound system for you to use in the Gillyflower, and as the building is totally sound proof you can crank up those tunes to your hearts desire.

Can I bring in my own drinks?

Yes, you are welcome to pay a service charge to bring in your own drinks during the day and we will sort the staff, ice and glassware for you to relax and enjoy. You are also welcome to choose one of the lovely drinks packages we've worked on to complement our menus

How are you sustainable?

We have been on a journey to become fully sustainable since we opened in 2013. Here are some of the things we do to look after our environment: Energy: We use 100% renewables and heating provided by estate grown and managed biomass (woodland). Construction: We use local materials with as low impact as possible. Our eco reception venue The Gillyflower is made of Rammed Earth and estate timber. Our new Treehouses (coming 2023) are using materials with low carbon. Food: We are growing more and more of our food in-house in our walled garden and on the estate. We are changing our menus to be seasonal and local. Soon wild meat will be added from our rewilding project on the land. Transport: We are calculating the carbon footprint of all people travelling to and from and offsetting (see below) Nature: We have given 250 acres of land back to nature with our Rewilding project. This will hopefully be expanded by another 143 acres in 2025. Offsetting: By using land differently we are measuring carbon sequestration and using that balance to absorb harm (transport, Business activities, waste etc) Inspiration: By creating an environment where it is clear and apparent that things can be done differently and also be fun and delicious we hope that people will be pollinated with inspiration and go away thinking that things can and should be different.

Do you allow real candles?

Absolutely. You can never have too many candles! You are welcome to light candles anywhere in the house and Gillyflower. We love candlelit wedding ceremonies in the hall and beautiful banquets with candles galore in The Gillyflower... We also have our own range of branded 'Elmore' candles which fill the house with a beautiful scent ready for your big day

You have a fire pit?

Yes we love a good wedding bonfire, we have a Kadai fire bowl, benches and logs in the Gillyflower meadow and its all included in your wedding hire

Is it true you're building treehouse accommodation?

We have! Our treehouses opened in May 2023 and have been a roaring success. These will be available as extra wedding guest accommodation and you will also be able to return for anniversary breaks, weekend stays and special occasions- something we have never before been able to offer, and are super excited to roll out!

What are your available dates this year?

We have a few dates remaining in 2024! Our diary for 2025 is filling up quickly and our 2026 is officially open! Be quick to snap one up and we will help you through the whole planning process, guide you through booking suppliers and ensure your wedding is perfect including a wedding coordinator to oversee your whole day from start to finish.

Testimonials

We had our wedding at Elmore Court in May and cannot recommend it highly enough. The venue is absolutely beautiful, the old house is full of character without being old and stuffy and all the bedrooms are totally unique. The Gillyflower is a stunning building for the reception, the layout is perfect and with the huge windows looking onto the meadow, it is just incredible. Throughout the whole process the staff couldn't be more helpful, nothing was a problem and they were so flexible. They did all our catering for two days and all the food was delicious and much better quality than you usually get for big weddings. In short, I couldn't speak more highly of them and am trying to work out when we can go back!

Elmore Court, what an amazing venue and accommodation! Team E were amazing helping plan our special day, nothing was too big or too small and I don't think I ever heard the word "no”. On the day the team were amazing! So relaxed, helpful and had thought of everything! Service from start to finish was brilliant, it felt like we were dealing with friends who wanted us to have the best day possible and did everything they could to make it just that! For us this venue is relaxed, stylish and definitely value for money! Elmore Court & the team made our wedding more special than we ever could have ever imagined!

Where to begin… What an utterly spectacular day. We wish we could zoom back in time to do it all over again. Feeling so blessed to have been able to celebrate the day exactly as we dreamed it and have so much love for you and the whole team for making it happen and hosting the best day our lives. We’ve had countless people exclaiming how it was "the most stunning wedding venue they've ever seen, best wedding they've ever been to, how delicious and on point the food was, how cool and attentive the team were and most importantly how impressive YOU were”. We just wanted to express how overwhelmingly grateful we are to you for being by our side on the wedding journey. A part of me is secretly glad it got delayed because it meant we got all that bonus time with you in the process… not to mention all the extra visits to Elmore. It began to feel a little bit like home there for a moment ????. You brought so much happy energy and kept us smiling all the way, so thank you Kat, you absolute legend.

Magical place! From the moment we came for a first look at Elmore Court we knew it was the place for us - it was the only venue that actually made me feel tearful as we looked around it. The house is just beautiful, the main hall with its magical light makes for the most breathtaking ceremony room, every single bedroom for overnight guests was stunning, and it was fantastic to have friends and family staying in the house and feeling like proper house guests rather than hotel guests. Team E made sure absolutely everything ran so smoothly on the day, with so many of our guests commenting on the great team, the beautiful surrounds and, especially, the magnificent food (everything, from reception canapés through to the cooked breakfast served for house guests the morning after, was impeccable). I wish we could go back and do it all again!

Perfect wedding! We had our beautiful wedding at Elmore Court in April 2022. We had looked at several venues before I stumbled upon Elmore during some online searches. We were apprehensive about getting married 90 mins drive from home but thought we would take a look anyway. As soon as we arrived at the gates, I got what I was finally looking for "the feels"! The Hall took my breath away and I knew that would be the aisle I'd be walking down. We loved the historical feel of the main house and how this contrasted the modern Gillyflower. I remember asking where bits of decor were from and being told that was just part of the room. The coach house was the perfect addition. We ended up booking the 'Long Thursday' option which was perfect. We had family coming from the North East and the USA so knowing they could make themselves comfortable for 2 nights was great. Everyone felt like they were on a mini break with a wedding as part of it. Our 2 year old son loved The Zest sculpture or 'water mountain' as it was renamed. Alex our co-ordinator was amazing, she was so warm and friendly. It was reassuring to know if we had a stress she was always there with a solution. The food was insane and so many people have contacted us about it since the wedding. I'm the only bride I know who got brownies, fresh bread and a choice of 3 breakfasts on the wedding morning. It feels like Elmore Court thought of everything a couple could possibly want from their wedding and also things you didn't know you needed. I'm just sad we don't have an excuse to visit again.
