Using Rock My Wedding (*blushing*) Danielle found plenty of inspiration and suppliers, including hair stylist & Recommended Supplier, Andrea Luella. Their vibe was English country garden with classic romantic styling. We are just obsessing over this picture-perfect day and all that it entails! Martina Liana veil for English country garden style wedding

We didn't follow many traditions and did everything our way. We had a family friend conduct our ceremony outdoors so it was bespoke to us with hand-written readings, custom vows and a floating candle-lighting ceremony. I also walked down the aisle halfway alone and halfway with our flower girl niece. We dined outside on one long banquet table and I did a bride speech completely off the cuff. We also had an awesome fire dancer for entertainment with fire pits burning and Game of Thrones & James Bond string music.

VIBE

The vibe was English Country Garden with classic romantic styling. We knew we wanted a quintessentially English wedding day with the wow factor whilst keeping it quite informal and intimate, and using small local suppliers for food and drink. My husband was born and raised in Wiltshire so the location was perfect, and being a keen gardener I loved being surrounded by so much greenery and beautifully landscaped gardens. The venue and my dress dictated most of the styling - keeping it simple with floaty skirts, ivory dresses and ties, white roses and lush foliage, and hints of green and gold.

FAVOURITE MOMENT

It's difficult to choose just one favourite moment, but walking down the aisle alone towards my husband with tears in his eyes was incredibly special. I needn't have been as nervous or worried as I was beforehand because, with a little help from our flower girl, a wave of calmness came over me as I started walking and seeing all the smiling faces of our loved ones. In that moment, I felt so proud and empowered to have stuck with my plan of walking myself. I also loved my husband's speech, and that I did one for him.

When your venue is this stunning those all-important couples portraits are a must!

My advice is not to follow traditions if you don't want to. Don't let society or anyone else influence your decisions. Definitely consider a weekday wedding or a smaller guest list to make things more affordable or more intimate. I am so glad we had a smaller guest-list in the end! Even with 45 people it was a busy and overwhelming day. But, we managed to speak to and spend quality time with every guest. Only invite those who truly love and support you both so you can fully enjoy the day and be yourselves.
