You know, there’s something about a French Chateau wedding complete with mens beige wedding suits that just works. Gemma & Mike’s glorious day featured everything you could possibly want from a beautiful French wedding. Wanting a traditional yet modern vibe, they found a beautiful balance between the incredible backdrop of their venue, and the styling incorporated throughout the day. We wanted a real mix of traditional chateau complete with modern features. We wanted a personal ceremony, but above all, we wanted a party to remember!
ADVICE
Start planning early and budget well. Make sure you search around for different suppliers and multiple quotes from each one. Add those personal touches that mean the most to you both and consider what you both want at all times (not just what you think the guests want). Have a personalised ceremony and consider writing your own vows - there wont be a dry eye in the house! Enjoy every moment of the process - you will look back and wish you could do it all over again - even the stressful planning process!
SUPPLIERS
For photography/videographer, it was all about the look and style of the photos and video. I spent hours going through instagram searching for my favourite! It was also important that they were English suppliers so we could connect on the day and they understood exactly what we wanted. All other suppliers were recommended via the venue, and it was suitable for them to be based in France.
We’d like a champagne tower now please.
COVID meant for up to 3 weeks before we were unsure as to whether or not it would go ahead. So it was such a special wedding with all of our closest family and friends there.
