Brown Wedding Suit at French Chateau

An autumn wedding in a French chateau - it's like someone literally combined all of our favourite things. Complete with a brown wedding suit, magical natural and festoon lights, and lots of dried leaves and fresh flowers in the infamous autumnal orange and brown hues. Add a structured cake a free-flowing wedding gown, and we're pretty sure we're in wedding heaven.

The Château de Caumont, a 16th-century residence listed as a historical monument, is a little gem in a green setting, located in the Gers, South West of France. Restored and lovingly maintained by the de Castelbajac family, the orangery, which hosts weddings, is like a small castle in itself.

BROWN WEDDING SUIT

We wanted Mayelle's natural beauty to shine so allowed her splendid hair to fly free in the wind. Enhanced only by a simple flower accessory and barely-there makeup by Art des Sens. Pauline designed a crepe muslin dress to allow for extreme fluidity and movement. And Tom wore a brown check wedding suit with a check design By Monsieur, perfectly complementing the autumnal theme.

DECOR & STYLING

Cocotte et Coquette made it possible to create a decor in green, brown and pink autumnal tones, mingling wood, wicker and pampas grass both on the table and table plan. The beautiful tableware from Options gently integrated into the charm of this romantic table. Small apothecary bottles and Dame Jeanne brought old world charm amid modern refinement.

GOLDEN HOUR

We wanted part of the editorial shoot to take place at dusk to capture the magic brought by the lowering of light and illustration of the incredible structure of the castle at nightfall. The gentle mix of dappled light and the green and browns colours and textures seemed to wonderfully portray the natural beauty of autumn.

We wanted to work with a real couple because love is the essence of a wedding. We wanted genuine looks, kisses, outstretched hands. Together tom and Mayelle are a little bubble of lightness, carefreeness, charm. We were seduced by their candour.
