Inspiration

Ok, we need to cover plenty of aspects from this day, but firstly, a moment for the mini wedding cakes; complete with a retro look and mini disco ball decor!? Damn, Rosanna & Dan just casually trending their way through the wedding scene… Their day began at The Asylum and ended with a back garden reception, transformed with a clean span marquee and LED dance floor. Recommended Supplier, Eclection Photography, was on hand to capture this spectacular day alongside Catherine Bailey Makeup to ensure the bride was feeling her ultimate self! Keep scrolling for a 10:30 pm chip shop delivery and serious party vibes! We’re obsessed.

Mini wedding cakes with retro decor

We wanted our guests to have the most fun possible so decided against a sit-down meal, opting for a Paella station instead. The colour scheme was mismatched, with bright pops of colour. An English garden against an urban background.

MINI WEDDING CAKES & CATERING

Rosanna & Dan’s wedding day was seriously all about the food! Firstly, they had 15 mini wedding cakes and a single 5” tall cake. They then had a paella station rather than a sit-down meal, as this suited their day more. At 10:30 pm they arranged for a local chip shop delivery; everyone got their own individual bag, including vegans.

ADVICE

A little advice from the bride & groom: “do what you want to do and not what you think you should do at a wedding. Don’t try too hard to please friends or family as sometimes you end up not pleasing yourself. Invite whom you want, people won't mind. Try and have at least 5 minutes together to reflect and look at the amazing party you have created. Ensure the bar is in the same room as the dance floor – CRUCIAL.”

SUPPLIERS & RECEPTION

Using Rock My Wedding, Rosanna & Dan found The Asylum Chapel, which was around 1 mile from the bride’s parents’ home. As they had found their ceremony space, they needed to find a suitable reception venue which fitted their vibe. After much deliberation, they decided to take the plunge and transform their own back garden! They did everything themselves, as they have both been/are in events.

A moment for the mismatched bridesmaid dresses…

After the ceremony we walked out the back of the chapel, leaving behind our friends and family all singing and cheering. We went outside and had 10 minutes to relax, enjoy each other’s company and had a cheeky glass of champagne! It was really nice just to have a moment, catch up on the morning's madness and recharge before we went back out the front for the confetti shot!
