SPECIAL MOMENTS
The actual ceremony was so special and actually really fun, more than we had both imagined it would be, which sounds a bit silly now! Once we were stood saying our vows, everything else just melted away; any stress of the wedding, all the conversations about flowers or what my nieces would be wearing just didn't matter anymore. We were there with everyone we loved and that was all we could have ever asked for. Ben also surprised me (Alice) with a confetti cannon in the middle of our first dance! It was incredible. Our best friend sang the first dance with our band and Ben enlisted the help of some of our friends plus our nieces and nephews to pop the cannons. It was so magical and felt totally unreal. Ben did forget to mention it to our photographer, but luckily he was on it enough to be posed and managed to get the shot, which I'm so pleased about because my face says it all! - Alice & Ben
Nancarrow Farm
We've featured many beautiful real weddings at recommended wedding venue, Nancarrow Farm, all as individual and lovely as the next. Alice and Ben chose to add lots of greenery to decorate the reception so it was an extension of the greenery on the exterior. Enhanced by a few pops of blush and burgundy blooms giving stunning, natural results. Plus did we mention the blooms were all DIY'd by the beautiful couple themselves? Alice is also a dab hand with a calligraphy pen and wrote all the place name settings and table names. Seriously, there is no end to their talents.WEDDING SUPPLIERS
Having worked in weddings and event management for 9 years, you'd think we both would know what we wanted but we didn't! We actually started planning before I (Alice) worked for RMW but we genuinely used The List to find some of our suppliers. I think finding suppliers who you actually get on with and trust makes such a big difference because on the day it will be so much more relaxing. We really didn't meet or speak to that many suppliers, we just did our research, stuck to our budget and went with our gut. On the day itself, I totally trusted our suppliers and made sure that we had nothing left to do. If you can let go it's a wonderful feeling to just be guided through the day. You are just handed drinks all day, told when to eat and surrounded by everyone you love. What could be better?! - Alice & Ben
I think we can all agree Alice and Ben had what looked like a really fun celebration with some great food, drinks and music to dance to. They were laughing and smiling all day and that is all any couple can hope for.
