Minimalist wedding inspiration with painted wedding cake and terracotta decor.

The vision for the shoot was to create an updated take on vintage, with a modern, romantic vibe and touches of the antique and eclectic. The blank canvas of the venue with its industrial feel was the perfect starting point for building a really unique look, bringing together the best from each supplier and really showcasing their work.

INSPIRATION

The inspiration behind the shoot was built from the patterns, colours and tones of the amazing vintage furniture and props from Modular Moods. The rich orange tones in the seat upholstery, the deep browns in the wood and the plum shades in the rug helped build the colour scheme and each supplier fed their own style into this concept to create beautiful bespoke elements.

Painted Wedding Cake

The floral design on the stationery was translated to the bottom tier of the hand-painted wedding cake created by Where The Ribbon Ends using soft colours. The cake topper was a simple wreath of greenery and dried grasses and finished the look off perfectly. The rich colours were also brought to life with the amazing red velvet mini sandwich cakes, glorious iced doughnuts and pretty pastel peach macarons. The most stunning finishing touches for a sumptuously styled dessert table.

Flowers

The flowers were created by British flower grower and floral designer Marianne Slater from Frances and Rose. Marianne used fresh and dried seasonal flowers to create the bouquet, flower crown, buttonhole, installation and cake flowers. The colour scheme of subtle washed out, soft tones of the dried elements contrasted perfectly with the bold orange pops of colour from the ranunculus. This was all brought together perfectly with the gorgeous silk ribbons and runners provided by Liak Style.

The silks are all naturally dyed using eco-friendly fabrics including organic and vegan-friendly, silks and cotton.

The stationery and signage were designed by With Love Wedding using their ‘Romance’ design, using beautiful painterly floral illustrations. The finishing touches of the copper wax seals and the deep opulent tassels give a really rich feel to this stunning stationery suite.
