Inspiration

You know if it’s a Tithe Barn wedding it’s going to be beautiful. Due to the pandemic and changing restrictions, Hattie & Henry decided to stick to their original wedding date, whilst making a few amendments! Taking inspiration from the micro weddings they found via Rock My Wedding (pat on the back for us), they found their photographer and venue. We absolutely adore that this gorgeous couple wouldn’t change a thing about their day. It was full of all the love, regardless of the smaller guest list. We just can’t get enough of the pictures during the reception speeches - do not miss all those smiles.

Although in normal circumstances we wouldn't have chosen such a small wedding, but it was the most perfect day. Better than we could have dreamed of and one we will never forget.

INSPIRATION

We definitely checked out the Rock my Wedding Suppliers list, particularly when we first began planning our original wedding! As our original plans began to look less like they were going to be allowed, we found the 'Real Wedding' inspiration super helpful. Seeing other beautiful micro weddings reassured us that we were doing the right thing going ahead on a much smaller scale.

DECOR

Hattie's mother is very creative and did an amazing job decorating the barn with Hattie and her sisters. We had lots of fun putting it all together the day before. The Tithe Barn is such a beautiful venue! We used lots of candles and fairy lights to decorate the space. Opting for a large rustic banquet table for our reception meal which we dressed with greenery foraged from the local woods, jars of gypsophila and lots of candles along with handmade heart decorations hanging from tea light lit branches - it looked stunning. Very magical and even more special because Hat's mother had lovingly put it all together.

FAVOURITE MOMENT

The whole day was full of favourite moments! From decorating the venue with my mother and sisters, to getting ready in the morning, to seeing my father for the first time in months and seeing the pride on his face, to the beautiful ceremony and saying 'I do'. The sound of laughter coming from the direction of the barn as our families got to know each other over a glass of fizz whilst Hen and I were having our photographs taken made my heart burst! We had five speeches which made us all laugh and cry. Henry surprising us all with his amazing poetry writing skills!

How incredible are those draped fairy lights? It just makes the venue look so magical! We’re in love…

For anyone who is considering a more intimate wedding, we would say 100% go for it! Our wedding was special because it was so intimate. All about our love, which at the end of the day, is what its all about.
