Our wedding day felt relaxed, as if it were just another day, except that we looked nicer, ate better and celebrated one another a bit more ceremoniously. I’m American and Mark is British, so getting married guaranteed we can take our life anywhere. We really just wanted to honour our commitment to the future we’re building. We love our house in Greenwich, so it felt right to celebrate at home with simple décor. I chose a dress I could move comfortably in throughout the day and I did my own hair and makeup so I’d feel authentically myself.
