Having all of our most important people, family and friends to share our union was so special. The most special guest was our darling 2-year-old daughter Lilah who was our flower girl (along with her beautiful cousins Evelyn & Penelope), she was the absolute star of the show and stole all of the thunder. After over ten years of being together, growing up together and travelling and living on the other side of the world together (5 years in Australia), it was amazing to have such special people from all over the globe in one place, getting to know each other and sharing stories about us in front of our eyes.
Holly & Will
When Holly & Will envisioned their big day, they imagined a heartfelt gathering of their nearest and dearest, and that’s exactly what they got, plus a few surprises. Lilah, who proudly served as a flower girl alongside her cousins, managed to shine with her adorable confidence. Unbothered by the sea of smiling faces, she marched straight into the ceremony, grabbed her parents’ hands, and held on tight as they exchanged vows.
In true scene-stealer style, Lilah even demanded a ring of her own during the ceremony, prompting a quick-thinking Nani to hand over hers. A toddler with taste, clearly. The ceremony itself was as emotional as it was meaningful with ten years of adventures and shared stories surrounded by guests who had travelled from across the globe to witness it all.
The styling was timeless and traditional in the “relaxed but ridiculously photogenic Cotswolds,”. Every detail blended seamlessly, creating an atmosphere that felt both intimate and effortlessly chic. But if you ask guests what they remember most? The speeches—oh, the speeches. Holly’s dad and the best men brought down the house with humour and heart, while Will, not one usually associated with grand romantic gestures, absolutely nailed his. A speech that was as funny as it was moving, leaving not a single dry eye (or empty champagne glass) in the room.
And let’s not forget the food, which also received rave reviews, but no canapé could compete with the sheer joy of watching Holly and her bridal squad tearing up the dance floor in a moment of pure, unfiltered fun.
I really recommend a videographer or content creator like we had, as the day goes so quickly and is so overwhelming, capturing all the moments by video to watch back is priceless and allows you to take it all in and bank more amazing memories from the day.
