After eloping in Tokyo, Japan, in December 2025, Nicola and Mikey wanted their UK celebration to capture the same sense of freedom, spontaneity and fun that made their original wedding so special. They took to the historic streets of Lewes for an intimate celebration that felt unmistakably them.
There was something lovely about recreating that feeling closer to home, but against a completely different backdrop. The quieter moments between locations were especially memorable because they felt relaxed and personal.
The day is about the two of you, so try not to make decisions purely to please other people. It is very easy to get caught up in traditions, expectations and what a wedding is supposedly meant to look like, but none of those things matter if they do not feel right for you. We chose to elope because we wanted a day that felt relaxed, personal and genuinely enjoyable.
