Wedding in Umbria, Italy with Red Flowers and DIY Copper Decor

What Made Our Day Unique

We drove over in a van two days before our wedding in Umbria. Taking tings like a copper barrel (made by my dad for beer to be put in during day) and copper corks for the table name settings. We hired authentic Italian musicians which made a huge difference (still had songs we all knew but mixed in with traditional Italian music). Rustic areas of decoration (wooden crates, wheelbarrow, Chalk Boards etc) to set scene and keep within style of the villa.

Inspiration & Styling

Wanted the decor to link to the setting. Being outdoor in the middle of Umbria we needed vibrant colours, rustic styling. I chose, raspberry red and copper. Copper cutlery, copper table name stands. Copper writing on stationery. Then raspberry table runners, red, pink raspberry flowers intertwined with white and plenty of greenery to keep the rural style. Crates dotted everywhere for decoration. I scoured Etsy and Pinterest. Worked out what I needed, then searched online for everything. Certain aspects I relied on our planner Marco as he had many Italian connections.
