Explore 2025’s top wedding entertainment trends, including live illustrators, immersive DJ experiences, interactive food stations, and unique guest activities to elevate your big day.

We tailor the music plan, lighting looks, and the flow of the night to your venue and vision from intimate barns to big hotel ballrooms. Your consultation sets the brief; we design the night around it.
In terms of personalisation, I believe couples want a specific vibe that sets their wedding apart from everyone else’s. Especially with mixed culture weddings. And that’s why I always ask my couples to create a ‘must have’ playlist which I then use as a guide to planning my set. I really want to capture their vision for their special night
A good, experienced DJ knows when a song’s been overplayed and when it’s time to bring it back — or when an old track has suddenly gained nostalgic value again. Film, TV, and social media trends often help revive certain songs, and weaving those moments into a wedding set can make it feel fresh and relevant. In the end, our goal is simple: to make every wedding feel like a one-off — a night that reflects the couple’s story and energy, where everyone leaves the dance floor smiling, sweaty, and singing along. That’s when you know you’ve done it right

DJs are now offering a far more professional service; the old "Disco Dave" stereotype has largely died out, replaced by a younger, savvy generation with better speakers and lighting design, and a better overall standard of mixing the music.
I think music is going to become even more central to weddings, with the 2010s era taking the spotlight. Couples will continue choosing DJs who can deliver a festival-style energy, playing long into the night and moving away from traditional wedding songs. DJs, like ours at We Run The World, will also work even more collaboratively with couples, digging into their personal music tastes to build playlists that really speak to them.
