How striking is this naked tipi frame adorned with flowers? Such a beautiful way to decorate your outdoor wedding ceremony. We love discovering new ways to decorate your wedding aisle, check out this post from our archives if you do too. This frame has to be one of my favourites though, the swoon worthy combination of ribbon and dark Autumnal blooms creates a backdrop that won't be forgotten in a while. Especially in the other-wordly setting of Godwick Hall. Images come from Darina Stoda, whose dramatic and evocative style lends itself perfectly to the styling here.
Darina the Photographer: Wild Bohemia; full of natural, unruly beauty. For those free spirited brides and boys who dream of walking bare-foot up the aisle on battered Persian rugs. Styled outside in the untouched setting of Godwick, Norfolk, the shoot was a collaboration of suppliers from The Most Unusual Wedding fair held in November. Penny of The Little Lending Company took cues from the movement to more Bohemian home influences and textiles; natural found materials, wood, wickers and soft linens. A bold but natural palette born from the earth and lots of textural interest ; a richness of deep mulberry, warm mustard, pale ash dust and soft pinks make up the colour range for the shoot. Dull highlights of vintage brass and copper with an abundance of candlelight finished the look. A large naked tipi ceremony frame was erected and dressed with a mix of flowers and foliages as the focal point and draped with taupe cotton fabric twisting around the poles. Flowers look wild, asymetric and un-tamed with a mix of textures and unusual mixes from The Swaffham Florists with a base of dark foliage conatus, winter hydrangeas in shades of mulberry and plum. Blush green Anthuriums, wax flower, rich pink Amaranthus to give movement and trail and favourites of the season black cosmos to add depth. Bullrushes were also collected and cut into the arrangement. Our girl wears bridal separates in a full tulle skirt and lace top by Sassi Holford from The Bottom Drawer Bridal, with soft loosely tousled up-do on hair by Flamingo Amy and sprigs of fresh flowers tucked in. A strong make-up look with glittering eyes and bold lip by Love Moi Make-up. We accessorised with a delicate handcrafted owl headpiece by Animalesque with real feathers and also fresh eucalyptus crown. A dark and decadent chocolate and bourbon semi-naked drip stacked cake with fresh florals by Buns of Fun with heaps more brass and candle light on top of an open crochet linen panel and wooden branches wrapped in mustard dyed linen.
