We are love, love, loving this two-piece set from Alexandra Grecco! The puff sleeves and full skirt are just effortless wedding dress vibes, and we’re obsessed. Danielle and Mario were married in Mallorca, with guests from over 10 countries and 3 continents! Wanting a relaxed wedding outdoors, they chose their location as it is tucked between the Tramuntana Mountains and has a secluded feel. Let’s face it; a destination wedding complete with fairy lights will be a love affair that will last a lifetime, and we’re not mad about it…
Alexandra Grecco puff sleeve two-piece wedding dress
We rented our wedding location - a beautiful Spanish Finca - for one week, so we could have more time with guests. We had a paella and flamenco night, a giant pool party with a BBQ, and two DJs the day before. Then our wedding of course! It was an island dream.
VIBE
We wanted a relaxed day outside, with a ceremony in the garden that felt dreamy and intimate. Followed by a romantic dinner and a night full of dancing. We chose the location as it's tucked in between the Tramuntana Mountains and feels very secluded in the valley, surrounded by olive trees and a lot of birds. We wanted it to feel very authentic, very us.
BRIDAL SHOES
I planned to wear shoes from Loeffler Randall's DAHLIA shoe, but I sprained my ankle the morning of the wedding and could not wear high heels (I could barely walk)! My husband ended up taping my foot with sports tape in the only colour they had at the store: pink. I hobbled down the aisle with my dad (in old white sandals and pink tape), and was still the happiest girl in the world! Thanks to my dear friends and family (and some painkillers), I still managed to dance until 5 am; on one foot to boot!
Are two-piece wedding gowns the next big thing? We think Danielle may be on to something…
Paco, the lead singer and also our DJ later in the evening, has the most magnetic, positive energy. He really engaged with the guests and ensured that everyone was having a good time. Our other favourite moment was when they played "Tequila!" by the Champs and the band led everyone in a marching band style to the front of the Finca where dinner would begin.
