Inspiration

Amy & Jonny’s wedding at The Tythe Barn Launton is the epitome of modern rustic chic. The couple wanted a rustic but clean aesthetic, and the venue’s rustic charm and natural greenery mixed with Amy & Jonny’s choice of neutral decor really helped nail this vibe. Amy & Jonny chose Recommended Supplier RM Creative Photography to capture their day, and you can see the fun, love and style in every image. The couple are massive foodies, so decided on a cheese tower instead of a wedding cake, adding to the rustic vibes. Any wedding with a cheese tower is one we want to brie at… Wow, that was cheesy. Okay, I’ll stop now! Amy chose forest green bridesmaid dresses from Recommended Supplier TH & TH Bridesmaids, and her bridal party looked stunning. But the dress that stole the show was Amy’s Montgomery wedding dress from Wtoo By Watters. It’s a jaw-on-the-floor kind of dress, and we are in love.

A Montgomery dress from Wtoo By Watters and The Tythe Barn Launton? It’s a match made in wedding heaven

We think a lot of people make weddings about everyone else, but we just wanted it to be about the things we loved. We don’t think many people do that anymore, as the focus is completely on the guests. Obviously, we wanted our guests to love it too, but we wanted it to be about us.

The Tythe Barn Launton

The Tythe Barn Launton is the perfect backdrop for a modern rustic wedding. Amy & Jonny’s use of black, white and neutral decor emphasised this and created the wedding venue vibe they both wanted. The ceremony was held under the twinkly lights of The Tythe Barn and featured wedding readings, including Union by Robert Fulgham. Amy & Jonny love food and made their guests were well-fed. They also hand a cocktail hour and plenty more drinks at the wedding breakfast and reception. We are also huge fans of the cheese tower they had instead of a traditional wedding cake - It’s your day, your way, and that extends to wedding food! The party continued into the night, starting with their first dance to Simply The Best by Tina Turner (absolutely iconic), and continuing with a killer wedding band. The night ended with a sparkler send-off, which is a magical way to say goodbye to all your guests and makes for some pretty great photos too.

A cocktail hour and a cheese tower wedding cake is a foodie’s dream!

Speaking with vendors beforehand is really important. If you don’t click with them, you have to really consider if you want them to be part of your day, as they will be around, a lot!
