Romantic inspiration at Bishop's Palace Wells wedding venue with sustainable wedding dresses and seasonal flowers

Our Daughter of Moon Lake inspiration is a modern retelling of an Arthurian legend loosely based on 'The Lady of the Lake' poems. It is heavily influenced by the myths and legends of the era, with a layering of romance.

SUSTAINABILITY

The wedding dress design included two layers made from eco fabrics. The underneath layer is 100% lyocell, and the top layer is organic organza silk, a beautiful structural fabric. It has a lovely soft twill and feels delicate against the skin. I created both looks for the shoot using all cruelty-free products from some of my go-to brands, including Viseart, Face Atelier and Hourglass.

Bishop's Palace Wells

Steeped in history The Bishop’s Palace and gardens sits in the heart of the medieval city of Wells, Somerset. Take your seats in the atmospheric banqueting hall boasting a magnificent, vaulted ceiling and stained-glass windows for a memorable candlelit wedding breakfast. The Palace boasts 14 acres of beautifully kept gardens perfect for couples' portraits, with the moat surrounding the Palace offering a tranquil sound of flowing water. The stunning backdrop of Wells Cathedral, the picturesque willow bridge, and seasonal flowers in the gardens add to the Palace's beauty. It is the most timeless and beautiful space for you, your friends and your family to gather for your wedding.

Making sustainable choices doesn't mean you have to compromise on style.

Returning the balance between man and nature and following sustainable practices was at the forefront of this Bishop's Palace Wells inspiration. There were locally grown flowers, ecologically friendly and sustainable materials (fabric and metal-working) and handmade papers. Plus the breathtaking ancient landscapes and buildings at Bishop's Palace Wells.
