Bet you thought we were whisking you off to the highlands in Scotland for this blue and green wedding inspiration? Well, you'll be surprised to know this Scottish themed elopement actually took place in California! It just goes to show wherever you decide to say I do in the world you can bring a little bit of home with you or incorporate your heritage. Cue Scotty dogs, tartan kilts, bagpipers and a whiskey station. We'll forgive you for taking a second glance at the groom too, we thought he looked like Brad Pitt too!

Our vision was Princess Bride meets Braveheart, will a dollop of boho. The outdoor table setup had rustic charm, gleaming brass, antlers and heraldic accents
Blue And Green Wedding
The choice of green and blue ancient tartan captures the blue of the Pacific and the towering Big Sur redwoods. Bagpipes playing on a neighbouring bluff. Ancient scroll invites with calligraphy and wax seals. Rustic, redwood Table with iron detail plays a supporting role decked with a traditional brass coat of arms, a waterfall of moss, florals trailing off the tabletop, mirroring the nearby river. Vintage Limoges china bearing a gold-encrusted heraldic shield, set on live edge chargers and vintage, hand-carved stag horn cutlery.
Location
We began the inspiration at the Big Sur River Inn. It was here where we set up the couple's rustic sweetheart table. It was a breathtaking foggy coastal afternoon, which set the stage for a perfect editorial shoot. We almost felt like we were in Scotland. We wandered through the Big Sur forests, walked along the river, and explored the depths of Big Sur's coastal beaches and cliff sides.

This was in collaboration with all local Monterey country vendors! We wanted to show how with the right design and eye for beauty, can encapsulate a certain time, theme, and overall vibe no matter the location. Given Big Sur's expansive nature, we were able to capture the Scottish blue and green wedding theme of this shoot in so many different places. Providing unique photographs and different feels throughout the day.
Choosing a wedding theme and a complementing colour scheme can really enhance your day. The blue and green wedding fashion, decor and details really strengthens this Scottish themed inspiration. You'd never know it all took place in Big Sur California!
