Inspiration

The gloriously industrial Bowers Mill wedding venue might be the star of this wedding, or maybe it's the Christian Louboutin bridal shoes, the Jesus Peiro wedding dress, or maybe the wildflower style florals...you'll have to let us know because we are in love with simply everything. It's even better when you find out the bride arranged all the flowers herself! Looking for a pretty botanical spring wedding? You've found one! If you thought we listed all the best things already, you'd be wrong. This industrial wedding also featured bridesmaid dresses from Recommended supplier, TH&TH and Recommended photographer, Indie Love captured the day!

Bowers Mill industrial wedding with wildflower decor

We did lots of research, using supplier websites such as Rock My Wedding and Pinterest for inspiration. We both had some really clear visions, which helped narrow down our searches, and we also relied a lot on word-of-mouth reviews and recommendations from our friends.

Fiona & Jamie

Bowers Mill Wedding Venue

Bowers Mill wedding venue is industrial and presents so beautifully with the soft muted colour palette the couple opted for. The amazing glass ceiling meant there was lots of natural light and the accessories provided the perfect rustic touch. Fiona and Jamie each chose non-traditional wedding shoes - Fiona's were hand-painted floral Christian Louboutin's, and Jamie's were metallic blue! The vibe they were aiming for was casual chic. Fiona and Jamie wanted it to look effortless, although it obviously involved lots of planning and preparation. The bridesmaids all wore individual dresses to match each of their styles and personalities.

Botanical Wedding

As Fiona is into gardening, she arranged all the flowers herself! The day before the wedding, she arranged 20 buckets of flowers into 75 different vases (that she collected over 2 years) to give the look of a florist shop on the day. Fiona and Jamie wanted flowers EVERYWHERE, and they were over the moon with how everything turned out. They wanted to make sure that there were special parts of them in every element of the day all over Bowers Mill. Fiona made the invites with a similar botanical theme, and also made the table plan and the place names in the same style. Becky and Nicola from Bowers Mill completely understood their vision and made the run-up and the actual day run like an absolute dream.

Flower power! We are loving all the florals and botanical vibes of this wedding!

Don’t be afraid to trust your vision, and do things yourself where you want to/can. A lot of our planning took place over Covid - I didn’t see my bridesmaids in their individual dresses together until the morning! We also loved being able to see our impact and contributions on the day - it made us feel super proud of what we’d achieved! You are pulled from pillar to post most of the day and so the moments that you get to properly focus are really important.
