Inspiration

Due to Covid Sabrina and Pritam were more than happy to scale back their original wedding plans. Instead, opting for an intimate civil ceremony at Brent Civic Centre wedding venue, followed by portraits around London with Recommended photographers, Shutter Go Click. They then went home for a garden party reception complete with outdoor speeches, smoke bombs and a Spotify playlist. Some things really do work out for the best and exceed your expectations.

With COVID restrictions easing but still limited with numbers, our day was unique to us as we didn't have to go down the route of a 'Big Fat Asian Wedding' but instead go for an intimate civil ceremony and a garden party with our closest friends. We had full control over the day and were able to personalise every element to our desire.

SUPPLIERS

Our supplies were all found through Instagram! We love supporting small businesses and really look for unique businesses that stand out from the rest with amazing people skills. We were lucky enough to have tried out our caterers even before we had got engaged! Lucky for us, they catered a friend's birthday, so it was a no brainer for our event.

Brent Civic Centre Wedding

We had just completed our renovation on our flat and love the country, rustic vibe and look. It was important to us to transfer our creative side from building works to our Brent Civic Centre wedding day. It was great fun creating many of the wedding decorations ourselves, with the help of some of our amazing friends and family.

Sabrina and Pritam created a Spotify soundtrack encompassing all the music they've enjoyed during their relationship.

Some of our favourite moments include a wedding guest getting out of their seat to mute the Zoom stream the very moment the Registrar asked if anyone objects! To being stuck in Match Day traffic in Wembley and having to drive the photographer's Range Rover in my wedding dress.

Sabrina's wedding dress was the least expensive item purchased for her Brent Civic Centre wedding. Her dress and her husband's suit were both altered by a seamstress they had been using for years. Not only do they look incredible, but their outfits fit like a glove.
