Inspiration

Summer sun, a shot-ski and a fully-clothed swim to end the night - Rachel and Dan's day with a burnt orange wedding theme was a celebration you really wouldn't want to miss! All caught on camera by Recommended photographer Jason Mark Harris. The lucky guests had a day filled with boho festival vibes and incredible colours. From mismatched bridesmaid dresses to groomsmen in braces and bow ties, the style was also on point. That's before we've even mentioned Rachel's gorgeous curled updo from Recommended hair stylist Gavin Harvie and flawless make up from Recommended make-up artist Nadia Harper... This garden wedding just goes to show even small celebrations can be bursting with inspiration. Oh, and florals. Everywhere. Excuse us whilst we start our burnt orange floral Pinterest board, and find out how you make your own shot ski...

BURNT ORANGE WEDDING THEME

If you thought orange was just for autumn, we politely request you think again. The scorching summer day was the perfect match for the array of reds, peaches and oranges on show. The warmth was everywhere, from the dusky florals to the massive smiles on everyone's faces! (Less to do with the colours, and more to do with the joy and love of Rachel and Dan's ceremony. And maybe the beer...). Even the weather was on theme with a gorgeous golden hour to begin the evening, resulting in some incredible shots of Rachel and Dan basking in the last rays of the day.

THE DAY

Rachel and Dan had an intimate day after having to reduce their guest numbers from 140 to 30. However, this didn't stop them having the day of their lives! The held the whole celebration in Rachel's parents garden with a fairy-lit tipi and boho decor, including gorgeous wedding arch and statement Persian rug to fit the burnt orange wedding theme. From ceremony and dinner to evening party with beer pong, this garden celebration had it all. And yes, there was a pool. Which, yes, all the guests jumped in fully clothed at midnight. And fine, we admit it, we will be living vicariously through the photos of it for the rest of summer...

Rachel and Dan have shown us you shouldn't shy away from a smaller guest list! If nothing else, 140 people never would have fit in that pool...

It was utterly perfect from start to finish, and despite having to reduce guest numbers we wouldn't change a thing!

Rachel & Dan
