Today, we’re sharing an incredible same-sex elopement shoot at the historic Château Formont! This shoot was all about celebrating colour, which is why we thought it was perfect to share for Pride Month in June! By bringing in pops of colour with lots of blue and green, this elopement feels contemporary and modern against the classic and historic backdrop of the centuries-old chateau. Our favourite part of this elopement has to be one of the groom’s flower lapel! They say less is more but that isn’t the case when it comes to flowers in our eyes. Why have a single buttonhole when you could add so many stunning blooms to your suit?
The goal of this project was to highlight the love of a male couple around a chic and elegant floral universe with a mixture of colours, to combine elegance and a chic French touch to the wedding for originality.

Château Formont Elopement Wedding
This same-sex elopement wedding took place at Château Formont, an 18th-century castle that was bought in 2022 by two brothers who turned it into a stunning wedding and events space after being a residential property for centuries. The wedding venue can hold up to 230 people and is located just 20 minutes from Bordeaux. This elopement shoot was all about playing with colour to add a modern touch in such a grand and historic setting. We’re obsessed with one of the groom’s flower lapels as a more botanical and colourful alternative idea to the traditional buttonhole. The suppliers involved in this elopement shoot add in some standout styling elements through the flower crowns for the bridesmaids and the red vintage wedding car. The bright and bold colours keep the elopement feeling contemporary in the incredible chateau.
Through the photos, we wanted to show love, happiness, and laughter!
