Inspiration

Hot pink is the perfect colour choice for Amanda & Ceri's hot and stylish retro wedding! Ceri is non-binary so the couple decided to de-gender their day as much as possible with a gender neutral wedding. The couple had the most epic 'I Do Crew' with gorgeous black dresses. Although, we have to say that nothing really beats the star of the show. Dug the dog had an immense role to play as ring bearer and was such a good boy in all these pictures. We love Dug!

Do as much as you can yourselves as you will save a lot of money. If you have creative friends, call on them for help as it is nice to support their businesses. Don't worry if you forget something or forget to ask someone to light those candles. It will still be perfect!

Gender Neutral Wedding

Amanda & Ceri wrote their own vows, which made their ceremony extra special. The day was very personal to the couple as they incorporated lots of homemade elements. Amanda made her wedding suit for the evening, and they both made the napkins, the stationery and the artwork, too! The couple was also lucky to work with so many of their friends. It was a real team effort to create the day that Amanda had envisioned and spent years planning. They had to move their original wedding date due to covid and decided to marry on the anniversary of when they started dating! Aww! Because it's close to Valentine's Day, the obvious colour scheme was pink and red.

Retro Vibe & Inspiration

Amanda also drew inspiration from the film, 'Romeo and Juliet' with their neon sign and plenty of candles at the reception. The film, 'True Romance' was the inspiration behind their pink Cadillac wedding car. The florists created a flower cloud that was suspended above the sweetheart table and peacock chairs at the reception. All of the pinks and reds were contrasted by the stunning black bridesmaid dresses and added to the retro vibes. Amanda & Ceri lived their rock and roll dreams by getting to sing with a live band during the reception. They had the whole crowd singing along to Parklife which they'll never forget.

This bright and bold colour scheme looks incredible!

A sweetheart table (where only the couple sits) is a great opportunity for you, as a couple, to spend some quality time and reflect on the day together. Spend as much time throughout the day as you can together as a couple!
