Inspiration

Real Bride and Groom, Zara and Dan have to be one of the most fabulous boho couples we've had grace RMW. They decided they wanted to marry at home on their farm in Cumbria hiring a bamboo geodome to house their creative wedding decor. Which included edible flower cakes, handmade macrame bunting and incredible spring flowers gathered from hedgerows in their garden. It was a real family affair, with their children performing readings and playing music during the wedding ceremony and everyone enjoying homemade Elderflower champagne and sloe gin. Just wait until you see Zara's Rue de Seine wedding dress and crown combo too. All the heart eyes.

What Made Our Day Unique

We really wanted our wedding to reflect us as a couple so took the time to think about what would make a wedding day important to us, not just following tradition. We have four children and we always have always said the reason we weren't married before is because we like to do things differently. And we wanted all our children there to celebrate with us. We wanted it to be where we live, outdoors (as much as possible) and a good party. The children having a party in the service outside in the field meant so much to us.

Geodome Wedding

There are all sorts of structures you can house your reception in now, tipis, stretch tents and yurts. But, today's geodome wedding is a first for RMW. We certainly hope it won't be the last we see of this incredible bamboo structure as it beautifully encompasses Zara and Dans free-spirited boho side and was the perfect blank canvas for all their DIY wedding decor. Hours and hours must have gone into creating the macrame bunting, not to mention all the copper details, and hand-illustrated wedding invitations.

Inspiration & Styling

I really love anything bohemian, from clothes, homeware etc, and with us wanting the day to be very laid back it made sense to have a boho vibe. We wanted the day to be unique and colourful, but in keeping with the surroundings. So wild and unstructured it was. Our bamboo Geodone from Atlas Domes fit the brief perfectly, and with no down posts we could maximise the space.
