As you know we always wax lyrical about couple's having, Your Day, Your Way. That's why we love it when an editorial shoot like this gothic style wedding inspiration hits our inbox. I mean, black dresses, burgundy suits, and red flowers in a medieval setting, what's not to love?! Keep your eyes peeled for the green and gold marble wedding cake and individual treats too. No wedding is complete without a dessert table, right?!

Gothic style wedding at a Medieval venue with a black lace wedding dress and red flowers.

For this editorial shoot, we wanted to break the codes of traditional marriage and bring some touches of magic to the heart of this cold season is that winter.

In the heart of this Norman abbey, an intimate and romantic gothic style wedding is being prepared. The magical side is presented in a discreet way, to show the bride and groom that we can let our inner child speak while keeping a harmonious and contemporary whole! Inspired by the pop culture and films of our youth, we have created a glamorous and magical atmosphere in a historic place. The pink and red tones of the flowers come together with the green and the warm tones of the candles.

For this shoot, we wanted a dress that changes our perception of the "normal" bride. The white dress is not necessarily the colour of the bride's dress. For some time now I have been following Daalarna's work, her dresses are beautiful and so romantic. It was a great pleasure for me to have been able to shoot this beautiful black dress. For the groom, we also wanted an unusual costume colour from Blandin Delloye, and we love this purple costume. Totally in accordance with the colours of the inspiration.

This shooting took place in an old Norman abbey, L'abbaye de Fontaine Guerard. This historic place was a good choice we like old stones and ruins. For a more mysterious atmosphere.

If there is absolutely one time you should embrace your own personal style, it's on your wedding day. So if a black wedding dress or a gothic style wedding has always been your dream, go for it. Real bride Clare wore a silver wedding dress for her gothic wedding to Barry and looks incredible.
