Inspiration

Covid meant Jane & James couldn't have their wedding day as planned, so the couple had a micro wedding with 10 guests in their local Town Hall in 2021 and moved the big day to the same date in 2022, so this greenery theme wedding at Recommended venue, Iscoyd Park, is technically Jane & James' one year anniversary! Recommended supplier, Sam Docker, had the honour of capturing this magical and unique wedding day. Plus the couple chose Recommended supplier, Prezola, for their gift list.

Emma at Miss Bush saved my life with my outfit. Wedding dress shopping was not for me. She helped me achieve the look I wanted by combining a corseted dress underneath the Yolan Kris lace overlay. The Team at Iscoyd became an extension of our family - they were just incredible and accommodating. They joined us for drinks on Sunday and we all cried when we left! We had the house from Thursday to Monday and it literally felt like our home for the long weekend.

Jane

Greenery Theme Wedding

The inspiration for this wedding was all the greenery! If Jane could have gotten married in a rainforest she would. Jane wanted to be immersed in leaves! Iscoyd Park has an incredible marquee but it didn't provide the couple with the exotic jungle vibe the couple wanted. They covered everything in leaf-printed drapery and greenery! For the ceremony space, they even brought in some trees. Jane & James' greenery theme wedding is just so unique and was complete with the couple's wedding sunglasses!

Favourite Moment

The ceremony stands out as a favourite for both Jane & James, which was a surprise as obviously the couple were technically already married! But they still wanted to do something and have their friends and family actually see them 'get married' without it feeling contrived or false. Jane & James worked with their celebrant, Faye, to devise something that focused on celebrating their first year of marriage and ensured they all had FUN. It was full of laughter and tears and became a true highlight of the day!

Lace overlays are a great way of adding length to your dress and making it look like a completely new outfit!

If you can spare the budget, get a wedding planner/stylist! We 100% could not have done it without Rachel! Your guests will have the best time if you're having the best time. Be selfish with it! You don't want to look back and regret not doing what you wanted. Photographs and videos are the only chance you have of remembering and reliving your day, so get both. We nearly didn't and we're SO glad we did. Our memories were such a blur without them.

Jane & James

If Jane & James' greenery theme wedding has you loving the exotic vibe, then maybe you should think about a destination wedding. The couple both recommend leaning on your suppliers to make your day incredible, so here are 12 things a wedding planner can do for you and the 10 must-have wedding photos. Happy planning!
