Inspiration

This beautiful humanist wedding wasn’t a big party it was a rather calm but elegant affair, with international guests travelling all over the world to enjoy the intimate outdoor ceremony in front of the historic castle doors. The bride and groom also conducted the speeches and cut the cake outside making full use of the gorgeous grounds at Butley Priory, and looked stunning to boot. Jenny's makeup is flawless and her minimalist Pronovias gown looks like it was made for her.

What Made Our Day Unique

Our wedding was a backwards wedding. With more guests attending the ceremony, and speeches and afternoon tea. And kept the evening to closer friends and family which happened later on in the evening. We had a very small wedding which meant it was easy going and we had lots of time to speak to every guest. It was just wonderful that every time you see someone’s face, they are one of the most special people in your life.

Humanist Wedding

Natasha from Butley Priory was instrumental in ensuring Jenny and Darry's outdoor humanist wedding ran smoothly. But just in case any problems did arise, Jenny had prepared a list of important information that she shared with her mum and the best man so she would not have to be disturbed on her special day. Genius idea.

Inspiration & Styling

English Garden Party would be the vibe of the wedding. Very chilled, laid back, on a warm sunny summer’s day. Very little styling needed to happen as the venue was so beautiful. My cousin described the interior as very “white company”, which I hadn’t thought of. We did get some additional decor, but really the whole place was beautiful on its own, it didn’t really need it. I think the flowers really made the day. I went for an “I just happen to go out this morning to pick these” look for the flowers.

Jennevieve & Dary

Both Jenny and Darryl are musicians and despite the fact that they weren't performing themselves, music played a big part in their day. A little boy played a grand piano during preparations and there were performances by their students (which you can see at the end of the wedding film).
