Inspiration

We are loving this intimate wedding at No 38 The Park. Now, we may be a teeny bit biased, but this wedding does feature not one, not two, but three Recommended Suppliers! From Joshua Gooding Photography and his incredible captures to Naomi’s beautiful Made With Love Bridal wedding dress to the couple's Gift List from The Wedding Shop. Phew! Wanting their day to feel like the ultimate house party, they focused on food, styling and entertainment. With an informal and relaxed vibe, they opted for oversized florals, lots of candles, and hand-torn menu cards. We just love so many aspects of this day!

We have been fortunate to attend many of our friend's weddings so getting recommendations and ideas from them always helped. Ben and I were together for 10 years before he finally asked me to marry him (he liked to take his time)! So, when the time came for our own wedding, we felt confident with what we liked and prioritised what was important to us on the day. We would often get together on a Friday night to look at the shortlist of suppliers over a glass of wine. The planning was all part of the fun.

VIBE & STYLING

The vibe was very informal and relaxed - oversized floral arrangements, lots of candles, hand-torn menu cards, rustic furniture etc. The venue was beautifully designed by Georgie Pearman which made decorating easy. Our floral stylist Kasia sourced accessories from local antique markets for our table flowers. We love eclectic styling! So wanted the florals to feel like they had been picked from the garden and loosely arranged on the table. For the wedding breakfast, we wanted to look out and see our guests enjoying themselves so chose to have long tables - it worked really well!

We wanted our wedding to feel relaxed; a real celebration of two families coming together. Ben wasn’t a huge fan of big weddings so we kept our numbers small and focused on the details that would make our day super special. Food, wine, styling and entertainment were important to us - we wanted our wedding day to feel like the ultimate house party. This is why No. 38 was the perfect venue. Guests could come and go to their rooms, change into comfortable shoes and dance the night away.

Take a quiet moment during your wedding day to really take it all in. It is a magical time so enjoy it and don’t stress about the little things! They won’t matter on your special day.

No 38 The Park is the perfect venue for all those beautifully rustic vibes we love so much. Remember, you can always head on over to our Recommended Suppliers, where you’ll find incredible venues, and three of Naomi & Ben’s suppliers!
