Inspiration

To me this wedding at Porto Vineyards in Portugal is perfect. Just like the scene in Love Actually, and just like the way Marine shared her vows with groom Matthieu. The setting is picturesque, the drapes are chef's kiss, and the fact that Marine and Matthieu included their daughter in all the key moments warms the heart. Wait until you see Marine's slip wedding dress with lace overlay too - it's a boho lover's dream. Plus, who better to provide their wedding gift list than Recommended supplier The Wedding Shop.

Marine & Matthieu

Personalised Vows

Marine and Matthieu's Porto Vineyards wedding comes with a tissue warning because when you see how Marine shared her personalised vows with Matthieu you will be overcome with emotion. Inspired by the film Love Actually, Marine wrote all her declarations of love on large cue cards. Everyone read from the cards with soothing music playing in the background. Understandably Matthew couldn't hold back the tears, and neither can we. Richard Curtis would be so proud.

The wedding officiants were the bride and groom's best man, Anthony, and the bride's best friend, Hortense. They also had speeches from family members and childhood friends, as well as their daughter roaming around during the ceremony. Priceless. Their daughter also joined them for golden hour portraits amongst the vineyard which is a must for any couples with children attending their wedding. They culminated their wedding by dancing until dawn.

A lace wedding dress, dried flower crown and dried flower wedding bouquet equals the perfect boho bride

We adapted the style of our wedding to complement the wedding venue. Dried flowers and drapes dressed our outdoor wedding ceremony and I wore a flower crown to complete my boho bridal look with a slip wedding dress and lace jacket.

I don't know about you, but I'd really like to venture up the Portuguese mountains to enjoy the views at Porto Vineyards. Clear blue skies, a remote location and sunnier climes sound like pure bliss.
