Inspiration

This shoot by our Recommended Supplier Kirsty Mackenzie is ticking all of our micro wedding boxes. Cacti? Check. Burgers? Check. Motorbike? Double check. This fun retro wedding shoot is inspired by Lily Allen and David Harbour's iconic Las Vegas wedding elopement. Kitsch is the new cool, people! Seamlessly blending retro and modern, Kirsty nods to classic 60s style with a mini shift wedding dress. We adore the sleek puffed sleeved bridal jumpsuit, paired with a chic leather jacket. Both versatile looks that could be repurposed to wear again!

A retro wedding shoot with modern twists for the ultimate unique style.

Inspired by Lily Allen's elopement in Vegas, I wanted to create a retro wedding elopement London style with Bubbles Burgers!

Inspired by Lily Allen's elopement in Vegas, I wanted to create a retro wedding elopement editorial, London style, with Bubbles Burgers! 1960s fashion, hair and makeup but with a modern twist, combined with lots of cacti and succulents for a tropical feel. We wanted something urban to reflect the cool venue, so we went for a colour scheme of black, green, terracotta and a deep red. We also wanted to show some micro wedding inspiration for winter weddings that's still tropical, urban and cool. The succulent ceremony arch is something I've never seen before, and we thought it would tie in with the potted plants and colour scheme rather than having lots of flowers.

A twist on the classics: leather jackets, cacti, a motorbike and burgers - London style.

The essence of laid-back London cool, the bride and groom are dressed to the nines and ready to go straight from the altar to the nearest cocktail bar. The unique succulent and cacti ceremony arch is a great sustainable decoration option for a small wedding party as the potted plants could double up as wedding favours for guests! We love how Kirsty has used elements of classic Americana (leather, motorbikes and burgers) and given it a Londoner's twist.

There's so many ways to have your own retro wedding! From vintage inspired hairstyles and wedding dresses, to hiring a classic car.
