Inspiration

Yasmin and James' rustic boho celebration at Rhinefield House wedding venue evolved into a 'Christmas boho' wedding due to their date change. It came complete with a Pronovias wedding dress, mixed fresh and dried flower bouquet and centrepieces, and lots of love and smiles. Plus, some Harry Potter references. Because Christmas just isn't Christmas without Harry Potter is it?!

We had originally planned to get married in France next July with 100 guests however Covid had other ideas. We decided what really mattered to us as a couple was to say “I do” surrounded by our nearest and dearest. We’re both key workers (I’m a doctor, he’s a teacher) and we’ve been working throughout the pandemic so we decided to end this crazy year on an absolute high! Our day was magical and was really quite emotional because of how intimate it was. We wouldn’t have changed it for the world. It was just perfect

RHINEFIELD HOUSE WEDDING

Rhinefield House wedding venue was close to home and my grandparents could travel there. Our original idea was “boho rustic” but then our new wedding date coincided with Christmas! So I guess “boho Christmas” was our new vibe. We mixed the gorgeous pampas with subtle touches of Christmas- apart from the huge Christmas tree in the room we said “I do!”

BOHO CHRISTMAS

As our original plans changed we were forced to plan the wedding in 2 months. Luckily my original photographer lived near my home town and she had worked with our florist before. She showed me her work and I fell in love with her style. I suggested pampas and boho colours and she made my dream a reality.

Yasmin had always dreamed of wearing a Pronovias wedding dress. Her gown fits her like a glove!

Shortly after we got engaged, my sister-in-law gave me the Rock My Wedding book and oh boy is there some serious inspiration in there!! Would definitely recommend it! I would advise couples to try and figure out their priorities (not anyone else’s) and just go for it! Don't be afraid to do a small intimate wedding (we are SO glad we did!) Don’t worry about letting people down (they’ll understand) after all, it’s YOUR day!
