Inspiration

Get ready to obsessed and lust after this sequinned Abigail Of Gardenia. In fact, you may remember obsessing over Lauren’s first short wedding gown from her London wedding in 2020. Well, she’s back again, and with another stunner. Having postponed their original wedding due to the pandemic, this incredibly patient duo were finally able to have their dream day. Using most of their original suppliers, they opted for a Studio 54 styled wedding; sequins for everyone! Including the men, of course. We love the Christmas vibes mixed with a little bit of Great Gatsby glittery goodness! This couple has serious style and taste.

My sparkly dress (which needs to come out again), I found through Instagram. I literally went “WOW!" so I contacted the designer direct - she had a small sample sat in front of her. She altered it to my size and sent it from Canada, less than a month before the wedding and without an official fitting - it fit though!

STYLING

For the ceremony in the Grand Salon, we chose gold Chiavari chairs with gold chiffon bows and sparkly gold star confetti cannons. The wedding breakfast featured gold/brass candle holders with olive, peach and cream tapered candles. Miss-matching glass mini vases with beautiful winter-inspired florals and wine red bow adorned chairs to suit the Christmas vibe. I knew the venue would be beautifully adorned with Christmas decor, so we just elevated the decor without it being too ostentatious!

FAVOURITE MOMENTS

We arrived and I saw my father-in-law had brought the family Ferrari (he's had it for over 20 years). He had lied saying it was in a garage and they couldn't get it out - but it was there resplendent in all its red glory! Also, walking into the wedding breakfast with Robert to cheers in my epic sequin dress and his suave suit!

We love the fact that Lauren wore a Tilly Thomas Lux Nefertiti crown purchased from Recycle My Wedding

If you do end up with last minute planning, just go with the flow - there's nothing else you can do. But for me, work with people you know have your back. Our suppliers certainly did and I'd highly recommend them all!
