Jess' silver sequin wedding dress is everything! Sparkling from beginning to end at her barn ceremony and marquee reception. There are also colourful gypsophila flower clouds decorating the marquee, expresso Martini's lining the bar, and a bevvy of beautiful bridesmaids in satin dresses and jumpsuits. I know! After two years of uncertainty and not being able to see so many family and friends, we wanted a big party where everyone could celebrate together. We wanted a relaxed day, so avoided any traditions that we weren't keen on, and filled the day with things that we loved. I swapped the traditional white dress for a silver sequin wedding dress, at the ceremony our friends chose alternative readings (from our favourite films), instead of a cake, guests helped themselves to a tower of doughnuts paired with espresso martinis, and we had an incredible female singer to end the night.
SUPPLIERS
Most of our suppliers were already our friends, which made the whole day so relaxing and fun. My sister found some incredible suppliers for her wedding a few years ago, so we were so lucky to be able to have a photographer, videographer and florist that we knew and loved, and made us feel so comfortable all day. Our caterer is an old friend, and we had been dreaming of having his long table banquets for our day, so we were thrilled when he made it happen.
Silver Sequin Wedding Dress
My obsession with disco balls inspired my silver sequin wedding dress, name places and outdoor decorations. We were lucky enough to host the reception in my parent's garden, so inside the marquee we wanted splashes of colour. We fell in love with the idea of having gypsophila flower clouds and our florist even created an installation that wrapped around the top table.
Moments
Sitting at the top table and looking out at all our friends and family having the best time together during the wedding breakfast was one of our favourite moments. The clatter of cutlery, the clinking of glasses, the cheering and laughter echoing in the marquee - it still makes us smile now thinking about it. We've never laughed so much during the wedding speeches, Chris had his head in his hands for most of them!

Enjoy every minute of your day. It goes so fast and you'll wish you could do it all over again when it's over. Get to know your suppliers before your day and you'll be so much more relaxed. Make sure you feel yourself in your dress, hair and makeup. And, don't think you have to follow every rule and tradition. It's your day.
