Inspiration

Okkkkkk, we see you. You gorgeous green wedding party you! The suits, the dresses, the bride, the groom. We’re obsessing over every single aspect! What makes it even cooler? Rosie & Sean’s wedding was almost entirely DIY. You know we love some Do It Yourself’ers. From the centrepieces to the (cheese) cake table. Complete with a Tropicana and festival style, wedding guests stayed on-site in bell tents as part of their hippy vibe. We absolutely love the bride's boho-chic gown, which is complemented by her groom's incredible suit and bright floral buttonhole. Of course, their adorable son may have stolen the show… what a cutie! Oh, and we couldn't forget Recommended Supplier, Amy Chapple Photography, who was on hand to capture this beautifully colourful day!

Green wedding party outfits including emerald green bridesmaid dresses and forest green groomsmen suits

Our family is quite an artistic and quirky family, so we didn’t have too much trouble finding suppliers for dresses, jewellery etc. The food and drink and some other bits were through word of mouth and some on the recommendation of our venue.

We wanted purely chilled vibes the whole time and a truly memorable experience for everyone which I think we definitely achieved. We also like Baz Luhrmann style films, like Moulin Rouge and Romeo & Juliet. With neon pinks, feathers, disco balls and other fun things! There was also a tattoo feel as my partner is a tattoo artist.

FESTIVAL WEDDING

After a year-long pandemic and a few serious family illnesses, we were so happy to all be back together again. Our wedding was almost entirely DIY; my father-in-law made our photo booth and we made and decorated the whole place ourselves, from the centrepieces on the tables to our beautiful ‘cheese’ cake table! (it was cheese…) The wedding theme was club Tropicana and festival. Everyone made the effort at the wedding and at our pool party and bbq the day after. Everyone stayed on site in bell tents as part of our hippie festival vibe!

My mum and I ended up buying the SAME shoes- she bought them for me as a surprise and I bought them for myself! They were beautiful, and my 'something blue'. We weren’t going to have any real flowers but my friend's mum made them all for us at the last minute featuring tropical flowers; like birds of paradise, bright oranges and pinks. My mum made all the floral centrepieces in polystyrene disco balls the night before the wedding by hand. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so tired!

The ceremony was STUNNING. Taking place in a meadow with everyone sitting on hay bales, and the bell tents on rolling hills in the background. Our first dance was perfect - we didn’t want anything to cringe! We danced to Oasis - Champagne Supernova. It went down a treat (I think).

Green wedding party outfits are a total VIBE. We absolutely love the vibrancy and bright colour scheme throughout this day. Of course, the cheese ‘cake’ is always a winner in our eyes, and something a little different on your big day!
