Inspiration

Tartan trousers, neon lights, Scottish highland vibes, and plenty of colour… have we enticed you in yet? Because Sarah and Jamie’s day is not one to be missed! A beautiful mix of rustic styling, complete with plenty of personal touches. The Fife Arms provided a stunning backdrop during their glorious day. We love how cosy yet so light and airy the venue feels, finished with tiny florals across their tablescape. Recommended Supplier, Emma Lawson Photography, was on hand to capture incredible couples' portraits, and The Wedding Shop to provide their Gift List. So, don’t go anywhere, because you’ll need a moment to take everything in!

Stylish tartan trousers & lace bridal gown for Braemar wedding

Due to the pandemic, we had to start from the very beginning again. Changing our original wedding date, which had been years in the making! 3 different dates, from 160 - 30 guests, moved locations/venues, but it was meant to be! Stripping it back to the wedding we then enjoyed was everything we wanted, without us knowing it. It redefined exactly what a wedding is about, what is important to you and proved that you can still have a party and feel the love with the smallest number of family and friends. Sounds cliche, but it really was worth the wait!

VIBE

Braemar is beautiful and breathtaking in equal measure - it will always be a special place for us. Our wedding vibe was the perfect mix of our personalities: Scottish highland country feel meets bold and colourful art with a pop. We loved that the Fife Arms setting had heaps of character and something a little bit individual and 'extra'. We had stayed before and fell in love with what it could be as our wedding venue. The walls adorned with antlers, rich interiors and extraordinary and colourful artwork were a great base to work with, making it our own with personal touches.

FAVOURITE MOMENT

It is hard to pick, can we say the entire wedding party from start to finish? Guests were invited to arrive the day before, to check in and enjoy welcome drinks and canapés. The main event had the most glorious weather, which is something I think everyone will always remember. The setting, the food, the live music, the company, the speeches, the cake, the sparkler send-off. Our beloved guests from different parts of our lives all became one big family by the end, which was special. Finished off with a farewell breakfast the following morning to discuss our favourite day.

We love the tartan trousers, but did you also catch Sarah’s super on-trend pearl clutch…?

Shout out to all of our brilliant suppliers. Special mention to our photographer and videographer who just 'got us' and we can now both call friends. They managed to capture our day so perfectly, instantly putting us at ease, and joining the party!
